Riley Fujioka earned BIG EAST Female Athlete of the Week, while freshman
Joseph Hofman was selected as the BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week. Both honors recognize the divers' efforts in GU's dominating sweep at American on Friday.
RILEY FUJIOKA
- Fujioka swept the diving events in Georgetown's 125-63 win at American.
- She nearly broke her own school record in the 1-meter dive, scoring a 278.33 to not only win the event but also qualify for NCAA Zone Championships.
- Fujioka scored a 250.05 to edge out two of her teammates to win the 3-meter dive.
- The Hoyas won 10-of-13 events in their decisive win, their second-straight victory to start the season.
JOSEPH HOFMAN
- Hofman swept both diving events in Georgetown's dominating 139-42 victory over American on Friday.
- He scored a 268.13 in the 1-meter dive, before winning the 3-meter event with a 238.73.
- The Hoyas won 12 of the 13 events in their second-straight victory to start the season.
