WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University cross country teams are hitting the road this weekend for their third meets of the 2019 season. The men's team will head to South Bend, Indiana for the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by Notre Dame, while the women's squad, along with a small group of runners from the men's side, will travel to Lehigh, Pennsylvania for the Paul Short Run. On Friday, the men will compete in a 5-mile run at Notre Dame beginning at 1:45 p.m. The men will run at Lehigh on Saturday in the 8K at 9:30 a.m., while the women will begin competition in the 6K at 10:15 a.m.
 
MEN'S PREVIEW

• The men's team is coming off of a second-place finish at the Penn State Invitational three weeks ago. 
• The Joe Piane field will feature 13 programs that are either ranked or have received votes in the USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll.
• The Hoyas will have a group of 15 runners competing in Indiana and seven runners competing in Pennsylvania. 
• Lineup: Maazin Ahmed, Joshua Bell, Matthew Bouthillette, Spencer Brown, Ty Brownlow, Ian Delgado, Tristan Forsythe, Rusty Kujdych, Quinn Nicholson, Eion Nohilly, Price Owens, Dylan Scarsone, Jack Van Scoter, Nick Wareham, Shea Weilbaker. 
• Paul Short Lineup: Ethan Delgado, Ruach Padhal, Kenny Rowe, Camden Gilmore, Matthew Payamps, Parker Stokes, Jantz Tostenson.

WOMEN'S PREVIEW

• The Georgetown women are coming off of a first-place finish at the Penn State Invitational. 
• The Paul Short field will feature six nationally ranked programs. 
• The last time that the women competed at the Paul Short Run was in 2016 when the squad finished second out of 45 teams. 
• The Hoyas will have a group of 16 runners competing.
