WASHINGTON – The No. 19 Georgetown University women's soccer team will welcome the St. John's Red Storm on Thursday afternoon in the final game of the regular season. The two BIG EAST teams are scheduled to play at 2 p.m. at Shaw Field. The Hoyas are currently 11-3-3 on the season and 5-1-2 in league play, while the Johnnies sit at 5-11-1 for the year with a 2-5-1 mark in the BIG EAST.

About the Hoyas
- The Blue & Gray is coming off of a 4-0 victory over Seton Hall on Sunday. Graduate student Amanda Carolan, junior Jenna Menta and sophomores Jenna Royson and Caitlin Moon each tallied a goal in the win while junior keeper Alyssa Navarrete was credited with the shutout.
- Senior Meaghan Nally earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after anchoring a Hoya defense that allowed just one shot on goal against its opponents last week. Georgetown did not allow Seton Hall to take a single shot on Sunday.
- The Hoyas clinched a BIG EAST Championship berth on Sunday and remain in contention for a regular season title, looking to claim it for the third-straight year.
- Carolan leads the Blue & Gray with 26 points off of 10 goals and six assists. Senior Paula Germino-Watnick ranks second on the team with 20 points off of six goals and eight assists.
- Georgetown leads the BIG EAST in multiple categories: points (124), goals (40), assists (44), shutouts (9) and corner kicks (125). Sophomore Boo Jackson and Germino-Watnick sit first and second in the league, respectively, in assists.
Scouting St. John's
- The Red Storm is coming off of a 1-1 tie against Creighton on Sunday. The Bluejays got on the board in the 65th minute and SJU found the equalizer in the 79th minute to force the teams into overtime.
- Zsani Kajan leads SJU with 20 points off of 10 goals on the year. She scored the game-tying goal on Sunday and notched a hat trick last Thursday in a 4-3 victory over Villanova.
- Kajan was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for her efforts last week.
Series History vs. the Red Storm
- Thursday will be the 21st meeting between the Hoyas and St. John's and GU leads the all-time series 11-6-3.
- The last meeting was during the 2018 campaign in New York when the Blue & Gray won 3-0. Senior Carson Nizialek added a goal to the victory off of a penalty kick taken right before the half.
- The Hoyas have blanked St. John's in the last three meetings and have outscored SJU 8-2 in the last five meetings.
What Lies Ahead
BIG EAST Championship play gets under way on Sunday, with the No. 3 seed hosting the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed hosting the No. 5 seed. The top two seeds earn a bye directly into the semifinals, which is set for Nov. 7 in Omaha, Nebraska. First round matches are played at the site of the higher seed. The seeds will be announced later on Thursday evening.
