Coach Culley on the Women's Races
"The women had a strong showing today finishing fifth overall at the Paul Short Invitational. We had some fantastic performances from Perez, Corman, Jones, Mathison, and Sessa, with Perez running a 38-second personal best on this course and finishing 11th overall in a stacked field. Collectively, we got a slow start off the line and were buried by the first mile mark. Several of the women struggled to find their way out of the massive field and those that did placed well for us. We know what we need to adjust as a squad and we'll make the necessary changes moving forward. We also had fine performances from Doody, Dammer, and McIntosh in the open race running times that were fast enough to contribute to the team in the gold race. It's going to be an exciting few weeks as we challenge ourselves at the Wisconsin Invitational before turning our attention to the postseason."
