Omaha, Neb. – The second-seeded Georgetown women's soccer team will return to the BIG EAST Championship final for the fourth-straight year on Sunday to take on the top-seeded Xavier Musketeers. The nationally-ranked No.18 Hoyas (13-3-3, 6-1-2 BIG EAST) will look to clinch the conference title for the fourth year in a row while Xavier (15-3-2, 7-2-0) advances to the final for the first time in program history. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET at Morrison Stadium.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown blanked sixth-seeded Providence 2-0 on Thursday evening in the BIG EAST Semifinals. Junior Kelly Ann Livingstone and graduate student Amanda Carolan each recorded a goal in the victory.
- Sunday will be GU's fourth-straight appearance in the tournament title game and sixth appearance overall.
- The Hoyas moved up to No. 18 this week in the United Soccer Coaches Poll after sitting at No. 19 last week.
- Germino-Watnick was named the BIG EAST's Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday for her efforts in the victory. She was also named United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week on Tuesday and earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team on Thursday.
- On Monday, the Hoyas clinched two major conference awards along with seven league accolades, the most in the BIG EAST. Meaghan Nally was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row while Germino-Watnick unanimously claimed Midfielder of the Year honors. The two seniors also earned spots on the All-BIG EAST First Team, joined by Carolan. Sophomore Jenna Royson and freshman Anna Leat made the second team while Leat and Julia Leas were unanimously selected to the all-freshman team.
- Carolan leads the Blue & Gray with 29 points from 11 goals and seven assists. Germino-Watnick is close behind with 26 points from nine goals and eight assists.
Scouting Xavier
- The Musketeers earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament after winning the BIG EAST Regular Season title last week for the first time in program history.
- Xavier shut out fourth-seeded Villanova on Thursday 2-0 at Morrison Stadium. Carrie Lewis and Hayley Jakovich contributed to the scoring. The Wildcats outshot the Musketeers 18-8.
- Samantha Dewey leads the team with 30 points off of 13 goals and four assists. She was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, along with teammate Grace Bahr.
- Molly McLaughlin and Brooke Sroka earned second team honors and Maddie Thiss earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team. Additionally, XU was unanimously selected as the conference's Coaching Staff of the Year.
Series History vs. Musketeers
- Sunday will be the ninth meeting between the two schools. Georgetown leads the all-time series 7-0-1.
- The Blue & Gray defeated the Musketeers 2-1 earlier this season at Shaw Field thanks to a pair of penalty kicks taken by senior Carson Nizialek.
- The two teams met once before in the BIG EAST Tournament, which occurred during the 2018 semifinals at Shaw Field and the Hoyas came out on top 3-1.
