WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball continues its homestand when UMBC visits Capital One Arena on Tuesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The Hoyas come in on a three-game winning streak and sit at 7-3 overall on the year.

- Four Hoyas scored in double figures as the Georgetown University men's basketball team defeated former BIG EAST rival Syracuse 89-79 on Saturday afternoon at Capital One Arena.
- Mac McClung's 26 points led all scorers and led a quartet of Hoyas in double figures. The guard knocked down 7-of-16 from the floor including a trio of 3-pointers and was 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.
- Omer Yurtseven tallied 19 points and tied with Jamorko Pickett for team-high honors with nine boards.
- Jagan Mosely put together a complete game as he managed 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including a career-high four 3-pointers, while grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out five assists, tallying one steal and recording one block.
- Terrell Allen put up 14 points and handed out six assists while registering a pair of steals.
- Georgetown shot 44.3 percent (27-of-61) from the floor and shot at a 44.0 percent (11-of-25) clip from downtown.
- The Hoyas outrebounded the Orange 41-29.
SCOUTING UMBC
- UMBC enters the game with a 6-6 overall record after an 86-77 victory over Coppin State on Sunday that snapped a three-game losing streak.
- As a team, the Retrievers are averaging 72.3 ppg while allowing opponents 66.3 ppg.
- Darnell Rogers is averaging 14.0 ppg in seven games to lead UMBC, while K.J. Jackson (13.4 ppg) and L.J. Owens (10.3 ppg) are also in double figures.
- Rogers and Jackson each pace the offense with 4.3 apg and Brandon Horvath averages a team-high 5.7 rpg.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Tuesday will be the third meeting all-time between the two teams, with Georgetown having won both previous matchups.
- The Hoyas and Retrievers last met in the 2008 NCAA Tournament First Round, with Georgetown coming away with a 66-47 victory in Raleigh, North Carolina. Roy Hibbert and Jonathan Wallace led the Hoyas with 13 points apiece, while Patrick Ewing Jr. came off the bench with 10 points.
