WASHINGTON – Three members of the Georgetown University women's soccer team were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region First Team on Monday. Graduate student Amanda Carolan was joined by seniors Meaghan Nally and Paula Germino-Watnick for the accolade. The Hoyas finished the 2019 season 13-5-3 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the eighth-straight year.

Amanda Carolan – Forward

• The graduate student led the Blue & Gray this season with 29 points from a team-high 11 goals and seven assists.
• She started in all 21 games for GU as a forward.
• Carolan was a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection and was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team.
• In 2017, she was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Regional Second Team.

Paula Germino-Watnick – Midfielder

• The senior ranked second on the squad with 26 points off of nine goals and eight assists.
• Germino-Watnick earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-Regional Second Team last season.
• She was unanimously selected as the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and earned a spot on the league's first team.
• Earlier this season, Germino-Watnick was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch list.

Meaghan Nally – Defender

• Nally led an experienced back line this season that stepped up and allowed just 7.1 shots per game from opponents and shut out 10 teams.
• This is the second-straight year that Nally earned a spot on the first team.
• She was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row and earned a spot on the conference's first team as well.
• The senior joined Germino-Watnick on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List earlier this year.
