WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field program secured 11 men and six women on the 2019 All-BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Squad, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The announcement comes after the Hoyas tallied a total of four event titles plus a number of top-three performances at the 2019 BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships en route to a third-place finish on the men's side and a sixth-place finish for the women.
With 11 male student-athletes named All-BIG EAST, the Hoyas rank third among conference institutions with Villanova and Marquette tallying 17 and 12, respectively. On the women's side, their six nods were fourth most in the conference behind Villanova, Butler and DePaul.

Lawrence Leake (Huntington, N.Y. / Huntington) was the stand-out performer for the Blue & Gray last Saturday as he was able to capture three BIG EAST titles in the 200 and 400-meter dashes, as well as the 4x400-meter relay. He was named the meet's Men's High Point Track Performer with 22.5 points.
