The Hoyas scored all three runs in the bottom of the first inning and advance to 6-17 on the season while the Buccaneers fall to 6-20 overall.

Junior
Anna Brooks Pacha (Houston, Texas / St. John's School) threw a complete game and allowed one run off of five hits as well as struck out four batters.

Macy Cartwright (Naples, Fla. / Naples). Bennett was next in the order and doubled to left field to bring in another pair of runs for the Blue & Gray to give the team a 3-0 advantage.
Both teams had opportunities to score in the following innings, including Georgetown in the bottom of the second with bases loaded off of three walks, but a ground out ended the inning quicker than the Hoyas anticipated.
The Buccaneers entered the scoring column in the top of the fifth with a shallow hit to right field to send a runner home to make it 3-1, but Georgetown held on the rest of the way to seal the win.
The Blue & Gray will play in its final tournament of the 2019 campaign next weekend in the Buff & Blue Challenge, hosted by George Washington, beginning Friday, March 15 until Sunday, March 17. Live stats will be available at GUHoyas.com.
