WASHINGTON – Junior Noelle Holiday (Bear, Del. / Red Lion Christian Academy) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for her efforts over the weekend in the Buff & Blue Challenge hosted by George Washington. The Hoyas (7-21) defeated Stony Brook 4-3 in the opening game of the tournament where the first baseman recorded one of her two home runs for the weekend.
 
The honor marks Holiday's first recognition by the league this season, sixth overall, and third for the Georgetown University softball team.
 
Holiday collected a conference second-best six RBIs for the Hoyas last weekend and was tied for the second-best slugging percentage at 1.000. She also added a league second-best two homers, along with four total hits and two doubles in four games for Georgetown.
 
The Blue & Gray will kick off BIG EAST play next weekend hosting Creighton at Nationals Youth Academy. Georgetown will play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon and a single game on Sunday at 11 a.m. Live stats will be available at GUHoyas.com.
