Hoyas Travel to Scarlet Knight Classic

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University softball team (15-19) will close out nonconference play this weekend at the Scarlet Knight Classic hosted by Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey at the Rutgers Softball Complex. The squad will play two games each day with Lehigh (5 p.m.) and host Rutgers (7:30 p.m.) on Saturday, and Hofstra (1 p.m.) and the Scarlet Knights (3 p.m.) again on Sunday.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • This past weekend, Georgetown went 1-2 against Butler in a BIG EAST Conference series.
  • The Hoyas won the first game 4-0, but fell in the two remaining contests 9-1 and 9-5.
  • GU had a contest scheduled for Wednesday against George Washington, which was canceled.
