Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y. / Ward Melville) was selected to the weekly honor roll after the Hoyas went 2-0 on the week with road wins at Mount St. Mary's and at Hofstra.
Smith helped the Hoyas to a pair of wins on the week and paced Georgetown with 11 ground balls and five caused turnovers. He had six ground balls and three caused turnovers in the road win at Mount St. Mary's and added another five ground balls and two caused turnovers in the win at Hofstra. Georgetown allowed just five second half goals in both games combined and only two combined goals in the fourth quarters.
Bucaro led the Hoya offense and posted back-to-back hat tricks on the week. He had three goals, including the game-winner, at Mount St. Mary's and added three goals and three assists in the win at Hofstra in front of his hometown crowd.
No. 18/16 Georgetown returns home as it hosts Furman on the Hilltop on Tuesday, March 5 at noon.
