WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University softball team will travel to Indianapolis this weekend to face the Butler Bulldogs for a three-game BIG EAST series. The action will begin on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at noon, followed by a single game on Sunday at noon. Live stats for all three games will be available at GUHoyas.com. Saturday's games will be streamed live with a link on GUHoyas.com and Sunday's game will be broadcast live on BEDN.

The Hoyas are 9-28 on the season and 2-6 in the BIG EAST. They are coming off of a 9-3 loss at Towson on Wednesday afternoon in a nonconference midweek game. Freshman

Noelle Holiday (Bear, Del. / Red Lion Christian Academy) had a pair of hits and two RBIs.
For the season, Holiday leads the squad batting .352 with a team high of nine doubles, seven homers, 29 RBIs and a .693 slugging percentage. Sophomore
Savannah Jones (San Rafael, Calif. / Terra Linda) ranks second with a .324 batting average, 33 hits, eight doubles, three triples, a home run and 13 RBIs. Forshey has a team-best 34 hits and eight doubles, as well as 19 RBIs on the year.
The Bulldogs are 14-22 on the season and 2-4 in the BIG EAST. They are coming off of a 7-6 win over local rival IUPUI in 10 innings. Freshman Karli Ricketts led Butler to victory with two home runs, including the game-winning hit, and pitched six innings. Ricketts has tallied 25 hits, six doubles, three homers and 15 RBIs this season while senior Kaitlin Doud has recorded 24 hits, eight doubles, four home runs and 17 RBIs. Sophomore Alyssa Graves registers a 2.93 earned run average and has recorded 122 strikeouts in 107.2 innings pitched.
The Blue & Gray are 2-10 in the all-time series against the Bulldogs. Last year, Georgetown lost the series at Nats Youth Academy 2-1. In its lone win of the weekend, junior
Anna Brooks Pacha (Houston, Texas / St. John's School) threw a complete game and recorded 12 strikeouts to lead GU to a 6-2 victory.
Following this weekend's league series, the Hoyas will welcome Villanova on Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19 for a three-game BIG EAST series at Nats Youth Academy.
