WASHINGTON– The Georgetown University women's Second Varsity Eight boat received the Patriot League Boat of the Week Honorable Mention, as announced by the league on Tuesday Morning. The recognition is the first for the 2V8 squad and the second honorable mention for the Blue & Gray this spring.
Georgetown's 2V8 placed first against West Virginia, Robert Morris, George Mason, Loyola Maryland and William and Mary at the Occoquan Sprints in Fairfax Station, Virginia. The Hoyas' time of 8:16.83 won the morning heat and qualified the afternoon final, which ended up getting canceled due to rough water conditions.
The Hoyas are back on the water on Saturday, April 6 to race against Navy and Lehigh in Annapolis, Maryland.
