WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University track & field team will head to Philadelphia for the 2019 Penn Relays, a three-day meet held at historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Races will be held Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27. The action is set to commence at 10 a.m. on Thursday with the women's 400-meter hurdles.

Men's Preview
On Thursday, the Hoyas will compete in a wide range of distance events highlighted by the 10,000-meter run that will feature juniors
Matthew Bouthillette (North Providence, R.I. / La Salle Academy) and
Jack Van Scoter (Pasadena, Calif. / Flintridge Prep).
The men will compete in a pair of Championship of America (COA) relays on Friday. All-Americans
Spencer Brown (Wilton, Conn. / Wilton),
Kenny Rowe (Cockeysville, Md. / Loyola-Blakefield),
Ruach Padhal (London, Ontario / John Paul II Catholic) and
Nick Wareham (Woodbury, Minn. / Woodbury) will compete in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) COA. Friday's events will conclude with the Sprint Medley Relay COA with All-Americans
Joe White (Clifton, N.J. / DePaul Catholic) and
Lawrence Leake (Huntington, N.Y. / Huntington), as well as
D'Andre Barriffe (Jamaica, N.Y. / Bishop Loughlin Memorial) and
Nate Alleyne (Downingtown, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan).
Saturday will feature the 4x800-meter COA and the 4xMile COA. Freshman
Ian Delgado (Cary, N.C. / Green Hope) will join Padhal, Rowe and White in the 4x800 while All-American
Jack Salisbury (Rumford, R.I. / La Salle Academy) and graduate student
Christian Liddell (Rogers, Ark. / Rogers) join Brown and Wareham in the 4xMile.
Women's Preview
On the women's side, graduate student
Josette Norris (Tenafly, N.J. / Tenafly) will anchor the DMR COA. Norris is coming off an impressive performance in the 1,500-meter run at the Larry Ellis Invitational where she posted a top-five NCAA time of 4:13.77. In the steeplechase, the freshman trio of
Katie Dammer (Clarks Summit, Pa. / Abington Heights),
Katherine Modrall (Carmel, Ind. / Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory) and
Rachel Sessa (Tewksbury, Mass. / Tewksbury Memorial) will join junior
Meg Mathison (Middleton, Wis. / Waunakee) to compete against a stacked field.
On Friday, freshman
Eni Akinniyi (Denton, Texas / John H. Guyer) will participate in the triple jump where she is coming off a second-place performance at Larry Ellis last weekend. Akinniyi will also compete in the 4x200 COA with
Cassidy Palmer (Bloomfield, Conn. / Bloomfield),
Tamiya Roberts (Powder Springs, Ga. / McEachern) and
BryAnn Sandy (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Paul Robeson-Pathways Tech).
Saturday's events will be highlighted by the 4x800 COA.
Olivia Arizin (Media, Pa. / Cardinal O'Hara) and freshmen
Sami Corman (Bellevue, Wash. / Issaquah) and
Cathilyn McIntosh (Loomis, Calif. / Del Oro) will run the first three legs while Norris returns to the track to anchor.
Georgetown will return to the track on Friday, May 3 as the squad travels to College Park, Maryland for the Kehoe Invitational, hosted by the University of Maryland.
