WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University softball team will remain on the road and head north to Seton Hall in South Orange, New Jersey for a three-game BIG EAST series. The action will begin on Saturday at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field with a doubleheader at noon and will close out on Sunday with a single game at noon. The Blue & Gray (12-31, 4-9 BIG EAST) is coming off of a 9-6 victory at George Mason on Wednesday. Georgetown rallied past the Patriots with five runs in the seventh inning. Junior

Mae Forshey (Phoenix, Ariz. / Arcadia) each recorded doubles and Forshey and sophomore
Savannah Jones (San Rafael, Calif. / Terra Linda), who had a pair of hits on the day, brought in three RBIs apiece.
For the season, Holiday leads the Hoyas batting .349 with team highs of 10 doubles, eight homers, 34 RBIs and a .670 slugging percentage. Jones ranks second with a .317 batting average, 38 hits, eight doubles, three triples, a home run and 17 RBIs. Forshey has a team-best 39 hits, as well as nine doubles, a home run and 24 RBIs on the year.
Seton Hall holds an overall record of 20-22 and is 6-7 in the BIG EAST. The Pirates split a pair in a midweek doubleheader hosting Lehigh on Wednesday evening. SHU defeated Lehigh 9-7 in game one to bounce back from an early 7-0 lead by the Mountain Hawks. Hailey Arteaga leads the Pirates batting .385 at the plate. She has a team high of 50 hits as well as 15 doubles, a triple, four home runs and 30 RBIs. Janae Barracato doesn't fall far behind Arteaga with a .321 batting average, 45 hits, 16 doubles, a pair of triples and two home runs, as well as 25 RBIs.
The Blue & Gray is 10-17 all-time against Seton Hall. Last year, Georgetown won the series 2-1 at Nats Youth Academy. Senior
Kelly Amen (Hillsborough, N.J. / Hillsborough) led the squad in the first victory against SHU with three hits and a pair of RBIs. The Hoyas won the second game 3-2 in 11 innings with a walk-off hit.
Following this weekend, Georgetown will close out the regular season at Nats Youth Academy with a three-game BIG EAST series against Providence. The Hoya seniors will be recognized before Saturday's doubleheader at noon.
