WASHINGTON – Sophomore pitcher London Diller (Sugar Land, Texas / George Ranch) of the Georgetown University softball team was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, her first career recognition by the league. Diller earned the recognition after pitching a complete game in a 6-5 victory at Seton Hall on Saturday. Aside from being her first career BIG EAST nod, the team picked up its sixth league honor of the season.
 
Over the weekend, Diller registered a 2.90 earned run average in 9.2 innings of work. The pitcher allowed five runs off of 10 hits, four of them earned, walked five and struck out eight batters. She also served as a pinch runner in the win against the Pirates and scored GU's first run in the second inning.
 
The Blue & Gray will close out the regular season next weekend, May 4-5, at Nats Youth Academy with a three-game BIG EAST series against Providence. The Hoya seniors will be recognized before Saturday's doubleheader at noon. Live stats will be available at GUHoyas.com.
