WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Track & Field Graduate Student Christian Liddell was named the BIG EAST Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Monday, as announced by the league. The honor comes after Liddell competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Sam Howell Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey on Saturday.
 
Liddell's time of 8:56.85 is tops in the BIG EAST this season in the steeplechase. His time currently ranks 32nd nationally and 12th in the East Region. 
 
This is the first overall BIG EAST weekly honor of Liddell's collegiate career and his first outdoor nod to date. This is the second weekly award for the Blue & Gray so far this season.
 
Georgetown will be back in action on Saturday, April 13 for the George Mason Spring Invitational, hosted by George Mason, in Fairfax, Virginia.
