WASHINGTON– Two seniors from the Georgetown University women's rowing team were selected to the All-Patriot League team as announced by the league on Monday.
Monica Firmani (Seattle, Wash.) garnered first team recognition and has received an all-league selection for the second time in her career while
Emily Phelps (Lincolnshire, Ill.) was named All-Patriot League Second Team.
The all-league selections come after the completion of the Patriot League Championships in Worcester, Massachusetts. last weekend where Georgetown tied Boston University for third place with 39 team points. Firmani and Phelps raced in the varsity eight boat and finished fourth in the grand final with a time of 6:33.518.
The varsity eight boat was named Patriot League Boat of the Week twice this season and received four total league honors in the 2019 campaign.
