WASHINGTON– Georgetown University Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach
Courtney Dolehide was selected as one of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Summer Collegiate Coaches for the 2019 season. Dolehide will be working with some of the USTA's top female collegiate players and will assist and support the young women at 25k pro events.
The 9th ResortQuest Pro Women's Open at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, Del. occurred on June 3-9. Currently, the players are competing at the 2019 Palmetto Pro Open in Sumter, S.C. which will run through Sunday.
After an extremely successful collegiate tennis career at UCLA, Dolehide transitioned to coaching in 2014 at Utah State University. She then served as an assistant coach at the University of Texas where the team saw great success. These experiences led Dolehide to the Hilltop where she helped lead both the Hoya's men's and women's programs to late season success in the BIG EAST Tournament in her first season at the helm.
The goal of the USTA program is to provide players with support on the road as well as coaching to prepare them for professional tennis. This opportunity will allow Dolehide to further refine and develop her coaching skills, an experience that will be extremely beneficial to the Georgetown tennis programs moving forward.
