WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Swimming & Diving Head Coach
Jack Leavitt has announced the addition of seven incoming freshmen to the women's swimming & diving team's roster. The seven members of the Georgetown Class of 2023, who will join the Hoyas this fall, hail from six different states.
"We're really excited to add these seven women to our program," Leavitt said. "They fill a lot of needs in the pool but, more importantly, they really fit in well with our culture as a team."

Prior to Georgetown: Earned three varsity letters at Clarkstown South High School, serving as a team captain as a senior … Named Clarkstown South team MVP (2016-18) and Rockland County MVP (2018) … Earned three-time all-section, all-league and all-county honors (2016-2018) … Recipient of the 2018 Keith Furry Award - based upon courage, leadership and determination - given to a senior on the Clarkstown varsity swimming & diving team … Named Clarkstown South Female Athlete of the Fall Season (2018) … Holds the school and county records in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay … Individual Rockland County Champion in the 200 free, 500 free, 200 medley relay and the 400 medley relay … Placed second in the 400 free relay third in the 500 free, sixth in the 200 free and seven in the 200 medley relay at the New York state meet … In the classroom, was a member of the National Honor Society.

The Georgetown men finished second at the 2019 BIG EAST Championships, while the women placed third. The Hoyas won six gold medals overall and set 15 program records. Georgetown had a league-high 24 student-athletes earn All-BIG EAST honors with 13 women receiving all-conference recognition in 17 events, while the men's squad saw 11 student-athletes earn accolades in 32 events. Leavitt and the Georgetown coaching staff were named the BIG EAST Men's Coaching Staff of the Year and Head Diving Coach
Marc VanDyken earned BIG EAST Women's Diving Coach of the Year honors.
