WASHINGTON – Graduate student Amanda Carolan earned this season's first BIG EAST weekly honors recognition, receiving a spot on the honor roll. After going 1-1-0 in the opening week, the forward tallied two goals for the No. 7 Georgetown women's soccer team.
Carolan scored the game-winning goal in the season opener on Thursday night at James Madison and recorded another goal on Sunday against No. 21 NC State. She leads the squad with four points on the year. Additionally, Sunday's goal put her in the top 10 all-time scorers at Georgetown with 25 career goals.
The Blue & Gray will return to action on Wednesday evening to face No. 8 Duke. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Durham, North Carolina and will air live on the ACC Network. Live stats will also be available at GUHoyas.com.
