WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University cross country teams open the fall 2019 campaign Friday morning in Emmitsburg, Maryland at the Mount St. Mary's 5K Duals, hosted by the Mount. The men's race is set to kick off at 11 a.m. ET and the women's race will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET.
MEN'S PREVIEW
- The men's team opens the season as the No. 3-ranked squad in the Mid-Atlantic region of the 2019 NCAA DI Men's Cross Country Regional Rankings preseason poll.
- For the fourth-consecutive season, Georgetown will begin the season as the reigning BIG EAST champions.
- The Hoyas will have a small group of seven runners competing from the men's squad.
- Lineup: Joshua Bell, 2018 All-BIG EAST Second Team honoree Eion Nohilly, Dylan Scarsone, Ty Brownlow, Maazin Ahmed, Quinn Nicholson and Price Owens.

WOMEN'S PREVIEW
- The women's team was selected as the No. 7-ranked squad in the Mid-Atlantic region of the 2019 NCAA D1 Women's Cross Country Regional Rankings preseason poll and will have 14 runners on display in Maryland.
