WASHINGTON – The No. 12 Georgetown women's soccer team (6-2-1) will welcome the Marquette Golden Eagles (3-6-0) on Sunday as both squads open up BIG EAST play. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at Shaw Field.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown dominated the Ohio Bobcats last week in a 7-0 victory at Shaw Field. Nine different Hoyas recorded points and senior Paula Germino-Watnick led the squad with five points off of a pair of goals and an assist.
- Sophomore Jenna Royson scored a goal and led a defense that allowed the Bobcats to take just four shots on the day. She was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Germino-Watnick was named to the Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts as well.
- Germino-Watnick leads the Blue & Gray with 14 points off of four goals and six assists.
- The Blue & Gray sits at No. 12 this week in the United Soccer Coaches Poll for the second week in a row.
- Georgetown ranks fourth in the nation in assists per game (3.00), corner kicks per game (8.11) and total assists (27).
Scouting Marquette
- The Golden Eagles went 1-1-0 last week in their final week of nonconference play. They lost 2-1 in double overtime last Friday to Northern Illinois but bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Colorado State on Sunday.
- Sophomore Macey Shock leads the team with four points off of a pair of goals. She has scored a goal in the last two contests.
- Senior Maddy Henry has a 3-5-0 record in the net. She registers a 1.44 GAA and a .803 save percentage.
Series History vs. the Golden Eagles
- Sunday will be the 13th meeting between the two schools.
- The last meeting occurred on Oct. 18, 2018 at Marquette when GU won 2-1 in a double-overtime thriller.
- The Hoyas have won the last five contests against the Golden Eagles.

The Blue & Gray will visit Villanova on Thursday, Oct. 3 for a 4 p.m. match and then travel to Providence on Sunday, Oct. 6 for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
