WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team travels to Cincinnati for a Wednesday night showdown at Xavier. Tipoff at Cintas Center is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The Blue & Gray comes in at 12-7 overall on the year and 2-4 in the BIG EAST.

- Saturday's game will be broadcast on FS1 with Thom Brennaman calling the play-by-play and Nick Bahe providing analysis.

LAST TIME OUT
- Despite a quartet in double figures, Georgetown fell short 84-80 to visiting Marquette on Saturday at Capital One Arena.
- Mac McClung led the way with 24 points, his seventh 20-point outing this year, while adding six rebounds, three assists and one steal.
- Omer Yurtseven added 22 points on a 9-of-17 shooting effort, including a 2-of-3 performance from downtown. He led the squad with 11 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season and dished out a pair of assists.
- Jagan Mosely and Jamorko Pickett added 11 and 10 points, respectively, to round out those in double figures.
- Mosely and Terrell Allen each had five assists to pace the offense.
- Georgetown shot 50.8 percent (30-59) for the game, including a 50.0 percent (9-18) effort from 3-point land, while holding MU to 46.9 percent (30-64) and 37.0 percent (10-27) from beyond the arc.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Yurtseven was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 21.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in two games last week. The senior shot 58.1 percent from the floor and tallied four blocks.
- The Hoyas lead the BIG EAST in both scoring (79.0 ppg) and assists (16.1 apg).
- Yurtseven leads the Hoyas with 16.9 ppg and 9.9 rpg, which both rank among the top three in the conference. McClung is second on the team in scoring with 16.5 ppg, which ranks sixth in the BIG EAST.
- Jahvon Blair is among Georgetown's career top 25 in 3-pointers made as his 110 career treys is 20th all-time. Mosely has 300 assists, which is tied for 20th on GU's career list.
SCOUTING XAVIER
- Xavier enters Wednesday at 12-6 overall and 1-4 in BIG EAST play and have lost its last three games, all by double digits.
- The Musketeers are averaging 71.8 ppg while allowing opponents to score 67.1 ppg.
- Naji Marshall leads a trio in double figures with 16.7 ppg. Paul Scruggs (14.7) and Tyrique Jones (13.6) are right behind him.
- Jones averages a team-high 9.6 rpg, while Quentin Goodin leads Xavier with 72 assists.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Wednesday will be the 20th all-time meeting between the Hoyas and Musketeers with Xavier holding a 14-5 series advantage. The two teams met six times before Xavier joined the BIG EAST, including twice in the NCAA Tournament (1990, 1995).
- Last season, the squads split the season series with both teams winning on their home court.
- The Hoyas won 80-71 at Capital One Arena last year to snap a six-game losing streak. McClung finished with 11 points.
