WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University Track & Field team will travel to Blacksburg, Virginia on Jan. 31 to compete in the two-day Hokie Invitational for the first time in program history. There are a total of 13 schools that will have athletes participating in the meet hosted by Virginia Tech. On Friday, the action is set to begin at 5 p.m. with the last event taking place at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, the first event will be held at 1 p.m. with the last event taking place at 4:10 p.m.
WOMEN'S PREVIEW
• At the Nittany Lion Challenge two weeks ago, Alie Fordyce finished in first place in the 1,000-meter run.
• The women will take part in a total of 13 events.
MEN'S PREVIEW
• At the Nittany Lion Challenge two weeks ago, the men's team had a total of six first-place finishes from Maazin Ahmed, Spencer Brown, Ethan Delgado, Tristan Forsythe, Kenny Rowe and Quincey Wilson.
