WASHINGTON – In conjunction with the BIG EAST Conference, the Georgetown University athletic department has announced the remaining schedule for the men's basketball 2020-21 season, presented by MedStar Health. The Hoyas add 15 games to their schedule from the end of December through early March. Tipoff times and television coverage are being determined and will be announced soon.
Due to expected challenges created by the pandemic, the BIG EAST and its institutions scheduled a concentrated group of 23 conference games from December 11-23 as a plan against possible scheduling challenges later in the season. As a result, the schedule for February is lighter than usual with room for possible re-scheduled games.
Georgetown has already opened BIG EAST play and sits at 1-1 in the conference after falling to No. 9/6 Villanova on Friday night before winning a 97-94 overtime thriller against St. John's on Sunday. The Hoyas will head on the road for contests at St. John's (Dec. 20) and Seton Hall (Dec. 23).
The makeup date for Georgetown's postponed home matchup against UConn, originally scheduled for December 13, will be announced at a later date.
