WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team announced the first portion of its 2020-21 schedule, presented by MedStar Health on Monday. Following a pause due to a positive COVID-19 test within the program, the Hoyas will begin with BIG EAST Conference play on Saturday. The BIG EAST will be announcing the remaining schedule for the 2020-21 season in the coming week.

New for 2020-21, the BIG EAST Conference has announced a one-year deal with leading sports streaming service, FloSports, to become the digital home of BIG EAST women's basketball, bringing elite collegiate competition to a global audience. The agreement provides a platform for all women's basketball games that stream on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) presented by SoFi.
FloSports is an award-winning direct-to-consumer sports streaming and media company based in Austin, Texas. It has a network of 25+ sport verticals, including FloHoops where the BIG EAST women's basketball games will live. FloSports provides live and on-demand event coverage, original content, breaking news, and more across a variety of sports including softball, track & field/cross-country, wrestling, motorsports, cheerleading and cycling as well as football, basketball and baseball. It offers all this and more across multiple platforms including web, connected TV and an app. FloSports has a wide array of collegiate partnerships, including all-in conference deals as well as hundreds of preseason and postseason tournaments in several collegiate sports.

Earlier this season, the Athletics Department announced that no in-person fans would be permitted through December due to COVID-19. This is in accordance with Washington, D.C. regulations which limit the size of in-person gatherings. A determination has yet to be made on whether fans will be permitted for home games in January through March.
