WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's basketball junior
Jahvon Blair was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday following a 1-1 week for the Blue & Gray. It is the second-consecutive nod for the junior guard who averaged 24.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while playing all 80 minutes in GU's two games.
In Georgetown's 76-72 win over DePaul on Saturday, Blair set a career high for the second time in three games, pouring in 30 points while hitting 11-of-18 shots, including four shots from beyond the arc. He also went 4-of-5 from the free throw line while grabbing four rebounds, handing out a pair of assists and registering one steal.
In a close setback to then-No. 12/13 Seton Hall, Blair finished with 18 points, connecting on all nine of his shots from the charity stripe. He also grabbed four rebounds and contributed an assist.
Blair is currently 16th on GU's all-time list with 124 career 3-pointers. He is just three away from tying Chris Wright (127) for 15th.
