WASHINGTON – Georgetown women's basketball graduate student Taylor Barnes was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday as announced by the league office.  The Hoyas are coming off of a 1-1 week and heading into the final three weekends of the regular season.

• Barnes averaged 17.5 ppg along with 4.5 rpg, 2.5 apg and 2.0 spg for the week for the Blue & Gray.
• In the 63-50 win over Xavier on Sunday she led the Hoyas with 18 points and had five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 38 minutes of play.
• On Friday, Barnes managed a 17-point performance, including a quartet of 3-pointers, as well as four rebounds in the loss at Butler.
• Barnes leads the Hoyas in scoring for the season averaging 12.8 ppg.  She also has team bests in 3-pointers with 43 and assists tallying 53 helpers on the season.
• This is the second honor for the Blue & Gray this season and the first BIG EAST award of Barnes' career.

 
The Hoyas will be back in action on Sunday at McDonough Arena as the squad takes on Villanova at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) and live stats will be available at GUHoyas.com.
