WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University softball team (0-5) will return to action this weekend in the Winthrop Tournament in Rock Hill, South Carolina for a three-day, five-game tournament. The Hoyas will face Boston University, Holy Cross, Virginia, host Winthrop and Eastern Kentucky.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown is looking for its first win of the season this weekend after going 0-5 last weekend in the FGCU Kickoff Classic in Fort Myers, Florida.
- Junior London Diller had a career-high eight strikeouts twice last weekend and pitched her first career no-hitter. Diller recorded 18 strikeouts in 16.0 innings of work and registers a 1.75 earned run average.
- Sophomore Mae Forshey leads the Blue & Gray with a .200 average and three hits on the season.
About the Tournament
- Boston University has not seen a loss yet this season as the Terriers won all five of their games last weekend at the Stetson Lead-off Classic. Ali DuBois was named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week on Monday after collecting three wins and a save during 20.0 combined innings of work and recorded 22 strikeouts.
- The Winthrop Tournament will kick off the 2020 season for Holy Cross. Last year, the Crusaders finished with a 14-35 overall record.
- The Cavaliers are off to a 3-1 start this season. UVA fell to Appalachian State 1-0 last weekend in the Charlotte Invitational. Tori Gilbert leads her squad with eight hits, including a triple and a homerun, and four RBIs.
- Winthrop went 2-3 last weekend at the Samford Invitational and Ansley Gilreath paved the way for the Eagles with seven hits on the weekend, including a pair of doubles and two homers.
- After dropping its first game of the season to Tulsa last weekend, Eastern Kentucky went on to win its next three games and are off to a 3-1 start to the season. Sammi Miller leads the Colonels, batting .643 at the plate with nine hits on the season.
