COACH BONSEY ON THE MEN'S DMR
"Unfortunately, we had some rough luck this weekend at the JDL Invitational. Matt Payamps fell in the first 10 meters of the race and face planted on the hard track. They stopped the race and restarted it, but he was pretty cut up and shook up. Once the race restarted it was clear something was off with him. I think the guys gave good effort, but the fall really hurt us as a team. We did not accomplish what we set out to do there, but we will bounce back and try to have a great weekend as a team at BIG EAST this coming weekend."
COACH CULLEY ON THE WOMEN'S DMR
"We had an excellent team performance running our fastest DMR in quite a few years and putting us back in the top-15 in the NCAA. We are just shy of qualifying for nationals, but we are thrilled to have the team back in the mix. Sami's 4:37.5 split and Maya's 54.8 split were huge boosts for the program."
