COACH BONSEY ON THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE
"I saw some really good things, especially since we were coming off of long travel after BIG EAST on Monday.
Matthew Payamps looked excellent qualifying for the 800-meter run and then finished in seventh place in the final. Matthew and I both were looking for a little more in the final, but for a true freshman who won the conference meet less than a week ago to run 1:50 on back-to-back days is big-time stuff. The DMR looked excellent qualifying on Saturday and unfortunately
Ethan Delgado was tripped and fell in the final on Sunday. That fall put us out of contention to win. We now have a few weeks to train hard and get ready for what should be a very successful outdoor season."
