Men's Tennis Downed by Temple, Hoyas to Continue BIG EAST play in Orlando

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown men's tennis team moved to 4-7 on the season and remain 1-1 in the BIG EAST after falling to Temple (4-4) on Friday.

During doubles competition, the duo of Connor Lee and Charlie Sharton came up short against Eric Biscoveanu and Louis Gorregues (Temple) 6-4. GU's Rohan Kamdar and Andrew Rozanov dropped their doubles match against Paolo Cucalon and Marin Delmas (Temple) for the Owls to take a 1-0 lead. Ian Witmer and Kieran Foster match on court three did not finish, with the pair up 5-4 before stoppage.

During singles competition, Lee took the first set against Marin Delmas (Temple) 6-3 but the Hoyas would struggle the rest of the day. Foster was defeated 6-2, 6-3 by Cucalon (Temple) and Kamdar was downed 6-3, 6-4 by Juan Araoz (Temple) to give the Owls the win.

Georgetown will head to Orlando, Florida for the spring break where they will compete in matches at the National Campus. The Hoyas will battle Creighton on Tuesday, March 10, followed by a meeting with Marquette on Thursday, March 12.
