Georgetown Partners with Sportsology to Launch Cutting Edge Recruiting App

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University Department of Athletics has announced the launch of a unique recruiting app to enhance the prospective student-athlete experience.  Georgetown has partnered with Sportsology to develop a one-of-a-kind tool that marks the company's first foray into intercollegiate athletics.  The app will give prospective student-athletes and their families the opportunity to experience a recruiting visit without ever leaving the comfort of their own homes.

"We are proud to be the first within intercollegiate athletics to offer this technology for the benefit of our outstanding athletes and coaches," said Francis X. Rienzo Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed.  "While we have been working with Sportsology for more than a year, during these unprecedented times, we are proud to offer our coaches and staff a groundbreaking way to communicate and showcase our values-based athletic culture."

The cutting-edge mobile platform features general facts about the University, campus, the Athletics Department and the District of Columbia.  Additionally, there are sport specific apps that will continue to be released where prospective student-athletes can learn about the coaching staff, team philosophies, facilities and opportunities after college.  The recruiting app provides prospective student-athletes and their families with a single point of access to learn about the Georgetown experience.

In addition, Sportsology has also developed a companion app for the department that captures the purpose, internal communications, and people-centered processes of Georgetown Athletics. The platform will be used internally for the recruiting and onboarding of new coaches and staff.
