WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's and women's soccer programs were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches organization each receiving the 2019-20 College Team Academic Award. The award recognizes teams that post an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The squads were two of 889 soccer teams that were recognized by United Soccer Coaches and Georgetown was just one of 176 schools that had both its men's and women's programs recipients of the award. On the men's side there were 333 institutions honored, while there were 556 for the women.

This is the 17th year overall that the women's soccer program has been recognized, and its 14th-straight year claiming the award. The men's team is marking its 14th recognition by the organization and the Hoyas' sixth year in a row receiving the award.
