WASHINGTON – Monday afternoon, Georgetown forward Cyanne Doyle was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. The news comes after an impressive weekend of play by the freshman who scored the game winner in Thursday's matchup with DePaul (2-0) and tallied herself an assist in Georgetown's 1-1 draw with Providence on Sunday.

• This is Doyle's first award of her college career.
• The Highlands Ranch, Colorado native has two goals in her debut season and two assists. 
• The freshman has started 10 of the 12 games played in the 2021 season. 
• Her goal in Thursday's match with DePaul began when senior Jenna Royson won the ball in the attacking third and connected a series of passes to get the ball to the corner at the feet of junior forward Gia Vicari. Vicari slotted the ball along the six where Doyle was ready to place the ball in the lower right of the net. 
• Doyle's assist on Sunday came from a throw in by Royson down in the attacking third. Doyle was able to get a foot to the ball inside the six, but it was junior Julia Leas who smashed it past the keeper to put the Hoyas up 1-0 over Providence.
