Hoyas Boast 98 Percent Graduation Success Rate

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University was tied for ninth in the nation in the NCAA's Graduation Success Rate (GSR) report on Division I student-athletes, released by the organization on Thursday. The statistics show that Georgetown graduated 98 percent which is above the national average of 90 percent and is the highest in program history.

"Graduation success rate is just one more example of our student-athletes' commitment to excellence," said Francis X. Rienzo Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed. "I know this would not be possible without support from our faculty and administration, coaches and staff. The work these groups do behind the scenes to allow our student-athletes to flourish is commendable. Georgetown student-athletes have always shown an immense dedication to both their athletic and academic endeavors, and I am certain that this commitment will help them become champions on the field and within their communities long after they have left the Hilltop."
