NEW YORK – The Empire State Building, an icon of New York City, will shine its world-famous tour lights in the colors of Georgetown and Creighton, in honor of the BIG EAST Basketball Tournament final on Saturday night. As night falls on the city, the western lights of the Empire State Building will glow dark blue and gray for the Hoyas and shades of blue for the Bluejays.
At 6:30 p.m. the BIG EAST Championship final will tip off on FOX as the tournament semifinal winners square off. When the final buzzer sounds and the confetti falls, the Empire State Building's lights will glow in the winning team's colors.
The BIG EAST Conference has been an Empire State Building Lighting Partner nine of the last 10 years.

Saturday is the first meeting between Georgetown and Creighton in the BIG EAST championship game. It is the first championship game appearance for the Hoyas since 2010. The teams have met one other time in the BIG EAST Tournament, a quarterfinal matchup in 2015 when the second-seeded Hoyas defeated #10 Creighton, 60-55.
