WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team will play Texas Christian University on Saturday, December 18 at Capital One Arena as part of the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle. Time and broadcast information will be released at a later date. The BIG EAST and Big 12 Conferences have announced the full list of dates and matchups for the third year of the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle.
GEORGETOWN AND THE BIG EAST-BIG 12 BATTLE
- This will be the first ever meeting between the Hoyas and Horned Frogs.
- TCU went 12-14 last season, including a 5-11 mark in Big 12 play.
- In the first two years of the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle, Georgetown owns a 1-1 record. The Hoyas defeated Oklahoma State in Stillwater in 2019 before falling to West Virginia last season at McDonough Arena.
- In the 80-71 setback to the then-No. 11/15 Mountaineers, three Hoyas scored in double-figures, led by Jahvon Blair with a game-high 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting, including 5-for-12 from 3-point range.
- Jamorko Pickett added 11 points and eight rebounds while Chudier Bile chipped in 10 off the bench.
GEORGETOWN'S 2021-22 SCHEDULE
- The contest against TCU is the third on Georgetown's 2020-21 schedule.
- The Hoyas are also a part of the 2021 Paycom Wooden Legacy where they will play two games against a field that includes USC, Saint Joseph's and San Diego State. Games will be played November 25 and 26 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

Georgetown finished the 2020-21 season with a 13-13 record, making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2014-15 season. The Hoyas went 7-9 in BIG EAST play, before winning four games in four days to win the 2021 BIG EAST Tournament for the program's league-best eighth title.
