WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's soccer has earned the No. 1 ranking in the BIG EAST Conference's Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference on Thursday, putting the Hoyas in prime position heading into the Fall 2021 season. The reigning BIG EAST Tournament champions also had three players selected for preseason honors with graduate students Kelly Ann Livingstone and Daisy Cleverley, along with junior Julia Leas, earning deserved recognition heading into the regular season.

Livingstone earned selection as BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year while the trio was selected to the 11-player Preseason All-BIG EAST Team roster.

Each Hoya selected for preseason honors has already earned several other accolades. Livingstone is coming off an impressive 2020 campaign where she was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week twice, BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, named to the All-East Region Team, and named a United Soccer Coaches All-American. Cleverley was named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and All-East Region Team. Leas also had an impressive season as she was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and BIG EAST All-Tournament Team, named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player for the BIG EAST Tournament, named to the All-East Region Team, and named a United Soccer Coaches All-American.
