WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's squash team went 2-1 over the weekend at the Pioneer Valley Invitational, hosted by Mount Holyoke. The No. 27 Hoyas defeat the host No. 31 Lyons 8-1 and No. 25 Connecticut College 7-2 on Saturday before falling to No. 25 Hamilton 9-0 on Sunday.
- Georgetown improves to 5-4 on the season with the weekend split.
- Against Mount Holyoke, the Hoyas opened the match with a 2-0 lead against the shorthanded Lyons.
- The Blue & Gray won flights 2-7 with 3-0 sweeps from Caroline Wilcox, Julia Sachman, Grace Feagin, Nina Flinn, Sarah Conner and Minna Holleck.
- Against the Camels, Nina Thomas won in the top spot while Wilcox, Sachman, Feagin, Flinn, Conner and Holleck all picked up their second wins of the weekend.
- In Sunday's finale against the Continentals, Conner nearly picked up an individual win in the sixth flight but was edged 3-2 in a comeback attempt.
