No. 17/11 Hoyas Draw Butler on Road

WASHINGTON – The No. 17/11 Hoyas tied Butler on Sunday afternoon 2-2 in Indianapolis.  With the tie, Georgetown closes the regular season at 12-1-5 overall and 8-0-2 in the BIG EAST Conference and Butler sits at  7-7-3 overall, 4-3-2 in the BIG EAST.

Head Coach Dave Nolan
"I was very happy with our performance today. Despite going 0-2 down by half time, I thought we had played very well and created lots of good moments in that period. Credit to Butler, they scored two very good goals and put it up to us. However, we still felt pretty good at half time and I told the girls to keep doing the right things and we would get our chances. Thankfully, we got the first one early in the second half and this gave us the confidence to keep plugging away. We put them under severe pressure and got our just reward in the last minute of a very exciting finish. All things considered, we have to be happy with a point on the road against a very dangerous team, one we may see down the road again. We get a chance to rest up and get healthy as we look to the BIG EAST Tournament in two weeks."
