WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University sailing team competed in the Atlantic Coast Championship at the United States Coast Guard Academy this past weekend.  The Blue & Gray took seventh at the competition.

On the Record - Head Coach Mike Callahan

• "A seventh-place finish is good but it's not where we intend to be this spring.  We struggled at the end of each day and we need to work on finishing strong.  We had climbed up to fourth and were within striking distance of winning, but we had too many double-digit finishes at the end and dropped all the way to seventh."

Atlantic Coast Championship - (7th, 8th of 18)

• The coed team competed against the top 18 squads in the country at the 2022 Atlantic Coast Championship. 
• The ACCs is a preview of the national championship in the spring and features the top teams in the country. 
• The racing was very close all weekend and the Hoyas performed well but could not come away with a top-three finish.
• Georgetown finished seventh out of 18 with the A Division teams of Scott Mais and Addi Harris and Mateo Di Blasi and Carolina Gaston taking seventh.
• The B Division team of Mariner Fagan and Emily Panarella came in eighth overall.
