WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's golf team wrapped up play at the two-day Hamptons Intercollegiate, finishing in eighth place with a 54-hole score of 955. The Hoyas carded rounds of 315, 316 and 324 at the par 72 6,676-yard course at Maidstone Golf Club. The two-day event saw the Hoyas battle challenging conditions with wind eclipsing 40 miles per hour.
 
Hoya Results

• Sophomore Charlie Creamean finished the tournament tied for 28th.
• Senior captain Pieter DeGroot also finished the tournament tied for 28th.
• Sophomore Jacob Finard placedtied for 43rd.
• Freshman Carsten Judge finished tied for 52nd.
• Sophomore Max Hutter placed in 60th.

Tournament Leaders

• Virginia won the event with a combined team score of 868. Followed by Yale in second with a team score of 903.
• The Hoyas finished the tournament with a team score of 955.

The Blue & Gray will return to action October 9-10 when they host the Georgetown Intercollegiate. The event will be hosted at Liberty National Golf Course in Jersey City, New Jersey.
