WASHINGTON – Following a historic weekend against Villanova, junior Erin Hood picked up BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Women's Athlete of the Week for her stellar performance in the Keystone State as announced by the league on Wednesday.

• Hood picked up her first career conference weekly accolade.
• The Georgia native helped GU to its first dual meet sweep over Villanova in program history behind three first-place finishes. 
• The Hoya swimmer earned wins in the 200 IM with a BIG EAST-leading time of 2:05.30, the 200 breast (2:19.64 - 2nd) and the 100 breast (1:05.21 - 3rd).
