Georgetown Plays Creighton in BIG EAST Championship Semifinals

WASHINGTON – The No. 1 seeded Georgetown women's soccer team is set to play No. 5 seeded Creighton on Thursday, November 3 at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The Hoyas went 12-1-5 overall, 8-0-2 in the BIG EAST regular season and clinched the BIG EAST Regular Season Championship. Creighton went 8-3-8 overall and 4-3-3 in the BIG EAST regular season.

About the Hoyas

  • Georgetown clinched the 2022 BIG EAST Regular Season Championship last month and are seeded No. 1 in the tournament. 

  • Julia Leas was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and Allie Augur was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year.

  • Augur, Leas, Eliza Turner and Gia Vicari were all named to the All-BIG EAST First Team while Maya Fernandez-Powell and Natalie Means were named to the Second Team. Means was also named to the Freshman Team along with Henley Tippins

  • Head Coach Dave Nolan and Assistant Coaches Rick Stainton and Naomi Meiburger were named the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year. 

  • Vicari leads the team with 13 points with five goals and three assists. Leas has three goals and four assists for 10 points. 


About the Bluejays
  • Aida Kardovic and Lara Kazandjian were both named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and Jordy Rothwell was named to the Second Team.

  • Kazandjian has four goals and one assist over 16 appearances for the Bluejays this season.

  • Hannah Luke has three goals and three assists in her 19 appearances.

  • Senior Keelan Terrell and freshman Lisa Hall have led Creighton from the goal.  


Series History

  • Georgetown last played Creighton on September 25 when the Hoyas won 4-0.
