WASHINGTON – Sophomore Jack Brearton captured BIG EAST Men's Athlete of the Week following a stellar weekend against Fordham as announced by the conference on Wednesday.

• Brearton picked up his first career BIG EAST weekly accolade.
• The sophomore swimmer picked up wins in the 200-yard breast (2:05.06) and the 1,000 free (9:46.02).
• His 200 breast time sits second in the conference behind Xavier's Jon Bernard.
• The California native also added a second-place time in the 200 IM (1:52.96) that ranks third in the BIG EAST.
