WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's squash team went 2-1 over the weekend to close out action of the 2022 calendar year. The No. 22 Hoyas upset No 19 Bates and No. 18 Colby, both 5-4, for the program's first wins over top-20 teams before falling 7-2 to No. 16 Bowdoin.

Hoya Notes
- Georgetown improves to 7-1 on the season.
- Eena Yu and Vedika Arunachalam both went 3-0 for the Hoyas over the weekend.
- In a battle at Bates to open the weekend, the Hoyas swept the bottom of the ladder at spots 5-9 to seal the victory with wins from Yu, Arunachalam, Sarah Conner, Nina Flinn and Isha Rao.
- Against Colby, the Hoyas earned victories from Nina Thomas, Caroline Wilcox, Yu, Arunachalam, Conner and Flinn to remain undefeated on the year.
- Closing out the weekend, the Hoyas dropped the first match of the season against Bowdoin. Yu and Arunachalam posted the two wins for the Blue & Gray.
Next Time Out
The Hoyas are off until after the New Year when they return to take on Middlebury, Williams and Amherst the weekend of January 6-8 in Annapolis, Maryland.
