WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's swimmer Kyle Maziarz earned his first career BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Male Athlete of the Week selection, as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
 
MAZIARZ HIGHLIGHTS

• The Mars, Pennsylvania native broke the team's regular season and pool record in the 3-meter dive with a score of 348.75.
• Maziarz's mark also placed him in the NCAA "B" qualifying group.
• The sophomore also picked up a second-place score in the 1-meter dive (312.45).
• This marks Maziarz's first BIG EAST weekly honor, and he joins teammate Emilie Ginovker as the second diver to earn the weekly nod for GU this season.
• Maziarz's athlete of the week selection is also the fourth for the Hoyas in the 2021-22 campaign (Ginovker, Carbone twice).
